It gets compliments constantly and I genuinely love it, which is always my best indicator that something is worth sharing.
The center stone is an opal doublet, approximately 0.4 x 0.7 inches, and the color in this one stops people in their tracks. Deep teal, vivid green, and flashes of electric blue shift and dance across the surface depending on how the light hits it. A doublet means the opal has been paired with a backing material to enhance and stabilize its color, which also makes it more accessible pricewise than a solid natural opal. These were sold to me as natural opal doublets, though I personally believe they may be man-made. Honestly, either way it doesn't change how I feel about them. The way the light catches this stone and the color shifts and sparkles across it is just plain fun to wear.
The stone sits in a hand-fabricated sterling silver bezel with a decorative beaded scalloped edge that frames it beautifully without competing with it. The band is sterling silver with a light hammer texture that catches the light and gives it that handmade feel. This one is sized at 8.5 and ready to ship.
