Iolite Oval Sterling Silver Artisan Ring - Size 7.5 - One of a kind to assist with inner vision and clarity

I have a love for Iolite.  Depending on the lighting it can look black, purple with just a hint of silver flecks inside when the light hits just right.  It's deep, moody, and built to last, like many of us. :) Iolite's natural pleochroism gives it that layered depth no two angles show the same way.

This ring centers a smooth oval iolite stone, approximately 0.4 × 0.6 inches, set into a decorate strong sterling silver bezel that's been oxidized to pull out every contour and curve. The effect is all contrast: bright silver edges against darkened recesses, giving the ring a sculptural, almost antique feel without being delicate.

The band is triple wired. Two outer strands are hammer-textured for grip and visual weight detail, with a hand-woven center wire worked into twisted shapes that add structure and movement. The whole band is oxidized to match the setting, making the texture pop. It's substantial without being chunky.

This piece was intuitively created using quality sterling and fine silver throughout.

Care Instructions

Iolite is a durable stone but benefits from gentle handling. To keep this ring looking its best:

• Remove before swimming, bathing, or doing dishes. Prolonged water exposure can affect the oxidized finish over time
• Avoid harsh chemicals, perfumes, and lotions directly on the stone or metal
• Store in the included velvet pouch when not wearing to prevent scratching and slow tarnish
• Use the included silver polishing cloth on the metal as needed. Avoid rubbing the stone directly with it
• Iolite can be gently wiped with a soft dry cloth to remove oils and dust

The oxidized finish is intentional and part of the design. Light polishing will maintain the bright silver highlights while preserving the darkened detail in the recesses. Avoid aggressive polishing, which can remove the oxidation.
