Malachite & Sterling Silver Pendant - for New Beginnings and an Open Heart

This is for you if you’re closing one chapter, opening the next, and want something on you that feels like it’s in your corner.

Look at the banding on this malachite. Every ring curves around the same center like ripples in water, deep emerald against lighter green, with a few darker pools where the layers stack up. It pulled me in right away, and I knew it needed a setting that let the stone do the talking.

I built the setting around the stone, the way I always do. A crown bezel holds it, with little decorative tips along the points that give the edge some detail. The bail is a double loop of sterling silver sparkle wire. Its texture catches the light and gives the pendant a little movement and attitude at the top.

Handmade by me, start to finish. This is a one-of-a-kind piece, and that banding will never repeat.

Care:

Malachite is a softer stone and sensitive to water, acids, and chemicals. Keep it away from lotions, perfumes, and cleaning products, and skip the shower and pool. Put this on last when getting ready and take it off first. Store it in the gift box away from direct sunlight. Use the polishing cloth on the silver only and avoid rubbing the stone directly.
